Watching the NYC Marathon and getting all "I love New York" about it - NaBloPoMo Day 9

Tom and I were glued to the TV watching some dude's YouTube channel live streaming ESPN last Sunday. Thank you random guy bringing us the marathon, we appreciate your service to humanity. We were thus able to spectate the NYC marathon in all its lagging pixelated glory.

I selected these photos, which are both from the daily news, because they showcase the spectators. It makes me extremely proud that so many spirited peeps get up and out at the butt crack of dawn. 26.2 miles are lined with spectators almost the entire way. They have signs and they're cheering and they have cowbells and horns and the winners and random runners and wheelchairs are so appreciative.

idk. It makes me really proud of this town that everybody pulls together to make this happen every year. Of course, ummm, we watched from our apartment. But. Maybe next year we'll be out there too, taking one for the team.
