Almost Getting Stuck in the Elevator Like Johnny Quinn, Olympic Bob Sledder - NaBloPoMo 6

Johnny Quinn Olympic Bob Sledder is my hero

I did not get stuck in the elevator on Saturday. But I could have!

And it would have been a thing because it was 1:50pm and I'd invited 8 friends over to our apartment at two zero zero, ie 2PM, ie ten minutes hence. And Tom was still not back from his run. I also did not have my cell phone with. me.

What I had was a big tub full of stuff for the storage locker. I hit the "C" as in "Cellar" button because that's where the storage locker is.

I descended to the C floor, and it looked like the doors were going to open. But they did not.

And then they still did not.

Hmmm. I begin to think deep thoughts.

First, I started to doubt whether the storage locker is actually on "C." There's also an "S" floor in our building (what "S" stands for, I do not know). I mean, it had been a long ass time since I'd been down to the storage locker and maybe the "S" stands for, oh wow, "Storage" and the "C" is where the boiler is and one of those floors you can't get off on unless you have a key.

I reached over to press the "S" button when suddenly the doors opened.

That would be the end of this story except when I went to try to find a photo for this post, I ran across the story of Johnny Quinn, Olympic bob sledder and basically we have so much in common.

Johnny Quinn got stuck in an elevator in Sochi; right after he had gotten stuck in a bathroom. OMG, we are living practically parallel lives because I almost got stuck in an elevator and I also almost got stuck in not one but two bathrooms

Wow. I should almost take up bob sledding.
